The Behavioral Health Clinician is a mobile position that provides direct services, as well as support and oversight in the delivery of clinical services by direct support professionals to address behavioral challenges, social and emotional needs, as well as to improve community participation, inclusion, and quality of life for Individuals served. It includes participation and service delivery in a variety of locations including telehealth, in-home, in community, and in residential settings. It may also include participation in rotation of 24/7 on call coverage based on agency need.
Requirements
Minimal Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, ABA or related field and eligibility to be licensed in RI at the highest level: LICSW, LMHC, BCBA, PH.D., CRC, etc.
Broad based knowledge including: functional assessment, treatment planning and program development
Experience working with people who have Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD), Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other mental health issues in a variety of settings
Ability to collaborate professionally with support team members working to build the capacity of direct support professionals and others working directly with the individual
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in use of common workplace technologies
Experience and confidence in providing education and training
Flexible schedule to meet the needs of individuals
Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle and favorable driving record
Must have favorable background check
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Clinician in RI (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, BCBA)
5 years working with adults, youth and/or children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
Experience in mental health, IDD and use of psychotropic medications for people with IDD
Experience with accessing community mental health and other resources in integrated settings
